Renee Romine joined Human Resources Training and Development in 2002. In her current role as Executive Director for Training and Development and HR Communications, she oversees the university’s leadership program (Institute for Excellence), New Employee Orientation and faculty and staff  interpersonal professional training. She was commissioned an officer in 1986 from Kent State's ROTC program and is a retired United States Army Signal Corps captain. The U.S. Army Signal Corps develops, tests, provides and manages communications and information systems support for the command and control of our combined armed forces. 

Romine holds a Master of Education in Instructional Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in Rhetoric and Communication from Kent State University and a Graduate Certificate in Educational Technology Leadership from George Washington University.  Additionally, She is certified in DiSC personal behavior assessment tool; Mayer-Salovey-Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test; Heartmath, incorporating the hearts intelligence to achieve coherence; the NeuroBusiness Group, Neurocoach Practitioner; Langevin’s Training Manager/Director certification and A.L.i.C.E. Crisis Incident training.
